How Do You Grade Your CD's?

How do you grade your books?
I always strive to be as accurate in all my descriptions as I possibly can. ***** I use Industry Standards in grading for used and new books that have been accepted by the book selling trade industry for many years. BOOKS ***** • New (N) It means that the book is in the state that it should have been in when it left the publisher. This is the equivalent of Mint condition in numismatics. Gift Quality. ***** • Like New (LN) is a book that has been read but still appears as new condition. In other words, the book shows no damage what-so-ever! Also could be gift quality. ***** • Very Good (VG) describes a book that is in excellent condition still but really could not be described as new or like new. Extremely minor defects. No writing or highlights. Dust Jacket is included (if applicable). No missing pages. These will be noted in the listing. ***** • Good (G) is used to describe the condition of an average used and minimal worn book that is complete but shows very minor to moderate type defects. May have some pages with minimal underlined text or minimal highlighting text, but only a few pages. Might or might not have a Dust Jacket (if applicable). No pages missing. These will be noted in the listing. ***** • Acceptable (A) is used to describe the condition of a below average type book . It may lack endpapers, half-title, and even the title page but no main pages will be missing. Heavier type shelf wear to outer hard boards, softcover. Most of the book could have underlined text and highlighting. Generally no Dust Jacket (if applicable). The defects will be noted in the listing. ***** • Poor describes a book that has the complete text but is so damaged that it is only of interest to a buyer who seeks a reading copy. I generally will not list books like this unless it is a rare type book or a super popular book and could be usable still. I will try to put all the defects in the listing. ***** • Ex-library copies will always be designated as such no matter what the condition of the book. *****

Do you accept returns for a refund?
Yes for books but not on CD's. Please note I will only refund the original net item cost which is "excluding" the original postal cost. Also, the cost to ship the package back to me is also not included in this refund amount. I will only entertain a refund request if this request is made to me by email within the first 2 days from when you receive the package as determined by the USPS tracking number. If I did not use a tracking number for your order, then your request must be made within 10 days from the date of transaction to allow for a reasonable transportation time to you (exception is during Holiday times when shipping may be longer and thus I will be a little more flexible on this).

What Delivery Service do you use and when do you ship my item?
I use USPS for shipping. For cook books, I generally use Media Mail. This option even though being the lowest cost sometimes takes the longest to get to you. USPS advises to allow between 2-8 business days for your package to arrive. Most of the time, this is usually accurate however due to extenuating circumstances, this time frame could take longer, even possibly up to 21+ days. I find that this is very rare and if it happens, it is typically around the holidays only or when there are huge catastrophic losses in the Country that are impeding the mail delivery such as hurricanes/Fires/etc. I ship out most packages within 2 business days of payment clearing or earlier if possible. Sometimes I will use a faster service such as First Class Mail if available. If the weight of the item is light enough, this option is usually a better choice.

Do you combine shipping cost on multiple items purchased?
Yes. I will combine shipping and handling charges where possible to save you money if you have purchased multiple items from me just as long as all items are going to the same mailing address and being mailed at the same time.

Do you ship outside of the United States?
Currently at this time we will only ship to a valid address within the contiguous United States (lower 48) plus Hawaii and Alaska. Please note Alaska and Hawaii are slightly higher in shipping cost per USPS..

How Do You Grade Your CD's?
We use the Goldmine Standard grading system for CD's as follows: *********** • Mint (M) Perfect. No scuffs/scratches, not played - possibly still sealed. Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Sleeve: Perfect. No wear, marks, or any other imperfections - possibly still sealed. ***** • Near Mint (NM or M-) Near perfect. No obvious signs of use, it may have been played - but it has been handled very carefully. Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Sleeve: Near Perfect. No obvious wear, it may have only the slightest of marks from handling. ***** • Very Good Plus (VG+) A few minor scuffs/scratches. This has been played, but handled with good care - and certainly not abused. Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Sleeve: Slight wear, marks, indentations, it may possibly have a cut-out hole (or similar). ***** • Very Good (VG) Quite a few light scuffs/scratches, or several more-pronounced scratches. This has obviously been played, but not handled as carefully as a VG+. Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Sleeve: More wear, marks, indentations than a VG+. May have slight fading, a small tear/rip, or some writing. ***** • Good (G), Good Plus (G+) There are a lot of scuffs/scratches. However it will still play through without problems. This has not been handled with much care at all. Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Sleeve: Well worn, marked, more obvious indentations, fading, writing, than a VG - possibly a more significant tear/rip. ***** • Poor (P), Fair (F) The CD (if it is included) may or may not play some or all of the tracks. See the seller's comments for details. Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Sleeve: Very worn. It may have obvious writing on it, it may be ripped/torn, or significantly faded, or water damaged.
